Booking terms

These terms govern the booking of the guided buggy tours we offer. By booking, the customer confirms that they have read and accepted them.

What you are booking

A guided buggy tour along routes in the south-west of Tenerife, leaving from and returning to our base in Adeje. The customer drives the vehicle; we provide the vehicle, the guide, the briefing beforehand, protective goggles and the vehicle insurance.

The route runs on roads open to traffic. The tour is done as a group and following the guide's instructions at all times.

Prices

Prices shown on this website are per buggy, seating two people (driver and passenger), and include applicable taxes.

The price of each tour is the one shown on its page at the time of booking. We may change prices at any time, but that never affects a booking that is already confirmed.

Booking and payment

Bookings are handled through our online booking system, which opens from the booking buttons on this website. That system is hosted on a separate domain and has its own privacy policy and its own payment terms.

A booking is confirmed when the customer receives the confirmation email. Before that, no place is guaranteed.

The full amount is paid when booking on the website.

Requirements for the driver

To drive you must be 18 or over and present a class B driving licence that is valid and in force in Spain. Showing it in digital form is accepted.

Driving under the influence of alcohol or any other substance is not permitted. Closed shoes are compulsory. Minors may take part as passengers from 1.10 m tall and always under the responsibility of an adult.

We reserve the right to refuse departure to anyone who does not meet these requirements, or whose behaviour puts their own safety or the group's at risk. No refund is due in that case.

Cancellations and changes

Bookings can be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before the tour's start time, in which case the amount paid is refunded. If the booking is cancelled less than 24 hours before the tour, no refund is given.

Within the same period, up to 24 hours before the tour's start time, the tour can also be moved to another date free of charge, subject to availability. To cancel or change the date, simply write to us or call us using the contact details on this website.

Right of withdrawal

This is a leisure service provided on a specific date and time. Under article 103.l of Spanish Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007, the fourteen-day right of withdrawal does not apply to services of this kind. What applies is the cancellation policy in the section above.

Damage, deposit and liability

No security deposit is required. The customer is liable for any damage to the vehicle caused through their own fault.

We are not liable for personal belongings the customer carries during the tour, nor for damage arising from use of the vehicle contrary to the guide's instructions or to traffic rules.

Weather and safety

If the weather prevents departure, the tour is moved to another day that suits the customer. If no other date is possible for them, the amount paid is refunded.

We may change the itinerary or call off the tour when ground, traffic or weather conditions make that the safer choice.

Privacy policy

We process personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 on data protection and the guarantee of digital rights.

Who processes the data

The data controller is the operator of this website, whose details appear in the first section of this page.

We only process the data the customer gives us: when making a booking (name, phone, email, pick-up hotel and driving licence details), when writing to us on WhatsApp or by email, and when calling us.

Purpose and legal basis

We process personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 on data protection and the guarantee of digital rights.

  • Managing the booking and delivering the tour. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
  • Answering questions received by WhatsApp, email or phone. Legal basis: consent of the person contacting us.
  • Meeting the tax and accounting obligations of the business. Legal basis: legal obligation.
  • Checking that the driver meets the requirements and that the insurance applies. Legal basis: performance of the contract and legitimate interest in the safety of the activity.
  • Knowing how many people visit the website and which pages interest them, using statistics that do not identify anyone. Legal basis: legitimate interest in improving the website.

How long we keep it

Booking data is kept for the duration of the relationship and afterwards for the periods required by tax and civil liability rules. Enquiries that do not end in a booking are deleted once they are no longer needed.

Who else can access it

Only the providers needed to deliver the service: the booking platform, the payment gateway, the firm that keeps our accounts, the insurer and the website statistics service (Umami), each for their own part. We do not pass data to anyone else except where the law requires it.

Your rights

Anyone may request access to their data, its correction or its deletion, object to processing, ask for it to be restricted, or request portability. Simply write to the email address in the first section stating which right you wish to exercise.

If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you may complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency at www.aepd.es.

Cookie policy

This website sets no cookies and uses no advertising tools. The fonts are hosted on our own server.

There are three external services worth knowing about:

  • To know how many people visit the site, on what kind of device and which pages they look at, we use Umami, a statistics service that sets no cookies and stores nothing on the visitor's device. It receives technical data about each visit (the page, the referring website, the country, the browser and the device type) and shows it to us as statistics, without telling us who each visitor is.
  • The map on the contact page is served by the OpenStreetMap Foundation. Loading it means their server receives the visitor's IP address. We chose this option precisely because it shares the least data.
  • The booking system is hosted on a separate domain and has its own cookie policy, which applies from the moment a booking button is clicked.

The texts, photographs, route map, logo and design of this website belong to its operator or are used with permission. Reproduction, distribution or commercial use without written permission is not allowed.

Governing law and complaints

These terms are governed by Spanish law. Any dispute falls to the courts of the consumer's place of residence.

Official complaint forms are available to customers at our premises. The European Commission also provides consumers with an online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
